New to the library? 6. Reservation of workplaces

Working place in the library

The library offers not only a large selection of print and e-media, but also space for studying. A total of 71 individual seats and 8 group rooms (for TU members only) for 4-6 people can be reserved.

You can make a reservation from the comfort of your home up to one week in advance. Simply visit our homepage and click on “Reservations”. And this is how it works:

  • Log in with the number of your library card and your password.
  • Select the date.
  • You can switch between group rooms and workspaces via the drop-down menu.
  • Select the desired room or space and the time from the overview.
  • If necessary, adjust the period for your reservation.

Don’t forget to bring your library card on the respective day. You will need it to confirm your reservation via the scanner in the entrance area. This is possible at the earliest 30 minutes before the scheduled time. If you do not check-in, your booking will expire 30 minutes after the start of the reservation.

If you no longer need your reservation, you can easily delete it under “My reservations & cancellation”. Here you will also find an overview of all your booked workspace.

Test sitting at library foyer starting 16-05-17

If you like to work quietly and concentrated in the library, then you should definitely join our carrel test: After a single workplace, a so-called “workbay” has been tested in a group workroom, we now offer two models for comparison.

Carrel in blue

Take a seat starting from Tuesday 16-05-17.

We plan on using the carrels as a room-in-room installation in a group work room or in the reading rooms. They are intended to promote concentrated individual learning and working.

You are cordially invited to inspect, try, compare and to give feedback …

You are welcome to fill out our questionnaire next to the installation (only a few questions!) or just leave a comment here!

Thank you!
