Locker keys
The lockers are located in the entrance area. You can obtain the key at the ServicePoint. It can only be borrowed with a valid library card. The key must be returned by the end of opening hours at the latest, otherwise your library account will be locked.
Scanners, copiers & printers
According to german copyright law (§53 UrhG), reproductions may only be made for private or other personal use. You may not distribute them further or make them publicly available. Any further distribution requires the prior consent of the copyright holder.
Scanner
There is a book scanner available for free use in both the upper and lower reading rooms. To scan, you will need a USB flash drive on which you can save the scanned pages.
copiers & printer
In J 1.005, there is a multi-function printer from the Campus-Shop that supports printing and scanning. Direct copying is not possible. A one-time registration is required to use it.
Students and staff at the TUHH can also use the multifunction devices from the Computer Center. A TUHH account is required. The devices are not located intside the University Library!
microfiche scanner
A microfiche/microfilm scanner is available in the lower reading room. If you wish to view microfiche or microfilms and scan their contents, you can use our reader free of charge. Please let us know in advance so that we can prepare the device for you. You will need a USB flash drive to save the pages.
Whiteboards
Rooms 0.004, 1.006 and 1.009 are equipped with whiteboards. There are also two mobile whiteboards: one in the lower reading room and one in the upper reading room. They can be moved as needed. The necessary materials, such as pens, magnets and sponges, are located next to the boards. If anything is missing or empty, you can obtain replacements at the ServicePoint.
Food & drink
Food
There is a free water dispenser in the entrance area. If this is out of order, you will find the nearest one opposite in Audimax II.
Drink
Snacks are available next door in the Campus Shop, in the cafeteria or in one of the cafés on campus. Eating is permitted in the library, but only odourless food. Pizza, kebabs, etc. must be consumed outside the library.
Internet
All students and employees of the TUHH, as well as individuals from institutions that are also part of the eduroam network, can use the Wi-Fi. Further information can be found on the data centre’s information page.
External visitors may only access the internet in the reading rooms via the computers in the PC pool. To use these, you will need a library card. Use of the internet is subject to the:
