Want to enter the library outside of opening hours to borrow books or study? With a valid library card, you can also use the library during our Open Library hours:
Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
No staff are present during Open Library hours.
Access to the library
There is a terminal with a scanner in front of the library entrance. You can scan your library card here and then enter the building.

Please note: If you leave the building for a short break, do not forget to take your library card with you. Without it, you will not be able to re-enter the building during Open Library hours.
Borrowing items
During extended opening days, unfortunately, there are some items you cannot borrow, as these are only available via the ServicePoint. These include, amongst others: charging cables and locker keys. You can find an overview of all non-borrowable items on the ‘Library of Things’ page.
If you have borrowed any of these items in advance, you can return them via the return box at the self-check-out machines by the lift.
