#OAWeek2023: Questions about Open Access? Open consultation on Friday in the library

Since March 2022, the University Library (TUB) offers an open, virtual consultation hour on Open Access every Friday. Whether you have questions about the concept of open access itself or about the concrete practical realisation of your own open access publication: the consultation hour is available to all interested people at TUHH. As part of Open Access Week 2023, we would like to enter into direct dialogue with you again and will therefore be offering a consultation meeting in the library. Bring your questions along – we look forward to advising you on publishing in Open Access.

For the TUB open access team, “Open Access Hours Friday” has already become firmly established. For about half an hour, the team meets in an open Zoom room and offers the opportunity to engage in personal exchange in addition to email and telephone consultations. Whether questions about second publication rights, funding through our publication fund or our other publishing agreements from which you benefit as a TUHH member, any desired topic can be individually addressed and advised. In the past months, there have been consultations and exchanges on topics such as publication financing, publication processes, Creative Commons licenses, and open science in general.

Visits to TUHH Institutes

In addition to the open “office hours Friday”, the Library also offers customized introductory lectures on Open Access at your institute. Here we can address your questions or problems, e.g. regarding license selection, copyright or secondary publication. Please feel free to contact us with specific date and topic requests.
