There’s Cookies, Truffles and Jam again

Sale on Tuesday, 26-11-19, from 9:am.

Once again, many TUHH hands have tackled Milli Antolagic to help her bake cookies, make truffles and cook jams. On Tuesday, Milli and her team will be in the library at 9:am selling their sweet gifts. As in previous years, the proceeds will go to the children’s hospice Sternenbrücke.

Until now everything was sold out until the early afternoon. Early arrival ensures successful shopping!

In the entrance area of the library it will probably be a bit louder than usual on Tuesday. We ask for your understanding.

Hello Kinderforscher!

There they are again :.. the children’s researchers of the school-accompanying project Kinderforscher at the TUHH! Since 2006, this project has become a permanent factor at the TUHH.

Within this program, up to 25 pupils from the 3rd and 4th grade from 4 different schools will discover our library under the motto:

“Where is the knowledge of the researchers stored?”.

These dates are planned:

Wednesday, 20-11-19 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Tuesday, 03-12-19 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Thursday, 19-12-19 2:15pm – 3:45pm
Tuesday, 07-01-20 4:00pm –  5:30pm

It goes without saying that during the guided tour in the reading room on the ground floor, things cannot always go quietly – that is why we ask for your understanding! Thank you!

New to the library? 6. ebooks

Many books are available electronically. This is indicated by the button ” Volltext@TUHH “. The link on this button leads to the download offer of the appropriate publisher. The content can be downloaded as a PDF as a whole book ( partly as EPUB for ebook readers ) or article wise, depending on the specifications of the publisher. For licensing reasons this is only possible from the intranet of TUHH. On computers with internet – login registered readers save their ebooks either on a USB stick or any cloud or even send it via email. Therefore there are no loan periods. As a student at the TUHH you can download the ebooks on your own PC – however, a VPN connection has to be maintained.

Most publishers offer an access via “Shibboleth” (without VPN) too. Klick here for further information of TUHH intranet and use of e-media!
