To ensure that everyone has a pleasant stay in the library and can study and work in a friendly atmosphere, there are a few rules that you should follow when visiting.
Noise level
The library is divided into three areas:
- Upper reading room: This is our quiet study area. Talking should be avoided in this area, and if necessary, only in whispers.
- Lower reading room: Quiet conversations are permitted here as long as they do not disturb other people.
- Group study rooms: These rooms are intended for discussion. Therefore, conversations may be held here at a reasonable volume.

Food and drink
Food and drink are generally permitted in the library.
However, strong-smelling foods are not permitted in the library. Pizza, kebabs, etc. must be consumed outside, e.g. in the cafeteria opposite.
Alcohol consumption is also not permitted in the library.
Bringing bags and coats
Coats and bags may be taken into the reading rooms. If you do not wish to do so, you can borrow a key for the lockers in the entrance area at the ServicePoint. You will need a valid library card for this.
Cleanliness
No one wants to work at a table covered in crumbs. Please leave your workspaces in a clean condition so that the next people can also use the rooms and spaces.
