„Texts. Knowledge. Together.“ – An Open Workshop on Academic Writing and Research Skills

How can we support students in their scientific work in a practical way?
As part of an open, collaborative workshop at the University Library of the TU Hamburg – organized in cooperation with Axel Dürkop (Institute for Technical Education and University Didactics at the TUHH) – we invite all interested parties to participate under the title „Texts. Knowledge. Together – Developing the basics of scientific work“ to jointly develop, discuss and try out learning resources.

What can you expect?

  • A practical, collaborative workshop in which you will work with other participants to develop free learning materials
  • Insights into methods of scientific work, open educational practices and the use of AI tools
  • Use and discussion of TUKI, the TU Hamburg chatbot
  • The opportunity to get to know new digital tools and workflows, for example collaborative text creation with HedgeDoc
  • Exchange and networking within the university community
  • Joint feedback and iterative improvements of the developed materials

Why you should be there

  • Develop your skills in scientific work
  • Gain hands-on experience in creating free, ready-to-use learning materials
  • Discover new digital tools and collaborative ways of working
  • Advocate for open education and free access to knowledge
  • Make valuable contacts within and outside your discipline or field of work

Participation is welcome!

We invite you to develop practical learning materials for academic work together – open, uncomplicated and in exchange with others. Whether it’s about research, citation, writing, data management or the use of AI – your ideas and experience are in demand. Do you have other topics in mind? Great – new ideas are also very welcome!

Who is this for?

Whether you study, research, teach, work in a library or are simply interested in open teaching and learning materials and innovative learning formats – we look forward to hearing your perspective! Together, we pool skills and experience to develop practical, open educational resources (OER) for academic work.
