Open Access Publishing with Springer Nature

The TU Hamburg participates in the contract of the Germany-wide DEAL consortium with the publisher Springer Nature.

Contract term: 1 January 2024 – 31 December 2028

Benefits for Researchers at Hamburg University of Technology

• Open Access publication without personal article processing charge (APC) in more than 1,400 subscription journals (“Hybrid Open Access” option).
• Publication fees for publications in SpringerOpen and BioMed Central Open Access journals (over 350 titles) are discounted by 20%

Which requirements must be fulfilled?

• You are a researcher of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and are submitting the paper as the responsible Corresponding Author.
• Your article is a primary research article (= original paper, review paper, brief communication) or a non-research article (= editorial notes, book reviews, letters, reports)
• The decisive factor is the date of online publication (“Online Publication Date”).

What do you have to do?

You must clearly state your institutional affiliation with Hamburg University of Technology when submitting:

• TUHH must be your primary affiliation
• Please use your TUHH email address for submissions to the publisher and as your contact address in the article.
• If possible, submit from the TUHH network.
• Please enter your ORCID iD.
