Again many hands from the TUHH have tackled to support Milli Antolagic when baking cookies and producing truffles as well as homemade jam. As in previous years, they will sell all this delicacies for the benefit of the children’s hospice Sternenbrücke on Wednesday, 11/30/2016, from 9:00am in the library.
Early come ensures a successful shopping!
We ask for your understanding if on Wednesday around the library entrance it will get a bit more noisy!

A new interface allows the direct connection of your library account to our catalog tub.find.
You can get now a better overview of your account. More sorting and display options are available.
There are now several ways that lead to login, for example by our catalog tub.find Library Account.
After login you will get an overview of your saved items, checked out items, holds and recalls, storage retrieval requests and fines.
Now you can sort Your Checked Out Items by due date ascending or descending or by title alphabetically. You also have the choice between 4 different display options, for example, it is possible to show all or overdue media.
Please, don’t forget to logout after each action in our catalog tub.find like ordering in stack or reserving a title!
On Wednesday, 22-06-2016, the reading rooms of the University library are open despite a staff meeting at the TU Hamburg. Our service desks will be staffed at noon.

It is planned that a new “Gebührenordnung für wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken” (Scale of fees for scientific libraries) will take effect April, 1, 2016. This scale will be passed by the Senate of the City of Hamburg based on the Hamburg Law of Fees.
Important innovation will concern – above all – those of you, who do not return media in due time or who do not extend the loans in due time.
Good news for you first: the survey of the fees will become more transparent. The reason: the fees will be booked to your account and are visible for you immediately, not any longer after return of media.
Within a few weeks the new fees will apply to you all over Hamburg in following differentiation.
In case of a request for return they will appear in your account immediately:
|First request for return
|Second request for return
||(2. week): 2 Euro (total 3 Euro/Medium)
|Third request for return
||(3. week): 5 Euro (total 8 Euro/Medium)
|Final request for return
||10 Euro (total 18 Euro/Medium)
Please note, that you will have to pay 18 Euros per book, should you overdraw your loan period for five weeks.
As you see fees will change only by distinct overdrafts of the loan periods.
Speedy returning instead is in interest of all our users …
The “Gebührenordung” has to pass the political authorities in Hamburg. We will inform you, when it will get valid.
Your questions now we`d like to answer yet.
Due to maintenance work the CIP-Pool will remain closed for the whole day on Thursday 24-09-2015.
This only affects the CIP-Pool computers in room 1005 on the top floor, the remaining places in the reading room can be used.
We apologize for any inconveniences.
On next Thursday library staff will enjoy their annual outing. The Library will be open for you from 9:00am to 9:00pm, but all personal services like picking up reserved books, applications for membership or the settlement of fees as well as information services will not be available.
Of course self check services for reading room books will continue. Thank you for your understanding.

From Wednesday 04-09-13 the required replacement of smoke detectors will be carried out in our reading rooms. Low nuisances because of construction works will be unavoidable.
At that time also the regulation of the elevator in the reading room will be renewed. Please note that during the fortnightly reconstruction the elevator will not be usable.
We hope for your understanding!
