DEAL: No Contract with Elsevier

Due to the failed DEAL negotiations, ongoing journal contracts with Elsevier were terminated by TUHH as of 1.1.2019.

Status 06.09.2023: DEAL Consortium and Elsevier Announce Germany-wide Open Access Agreement.

Status 10.07.2023: Negotiations are currently underway.

Which journals are still available?

Since the beginning of 2019, online access to journal articles published by Elsevier at TUHH has been severely restricted. Available are:

48 Journals through 2018

TUHH subscribed to 48 selected journals from Elsevier through 2018. Access to these journals is still possible up to and including the year 2018:

All other journals from Elsevier were only accessible in 2018 as part of a paid annual license without archive rights. Access is no longer possible here.

Archive volumes from 1907 – 2002:

The archive volumes are available throughout Germany as a national license, financed by the DFG:

Alternative acquisition options:

Articles that are no longer available at TUHH can be ordered via interlibrary loan. As a rule, you will receive a paper copy within a week.

In general, it is worth checking whether required articles of a publisher are also available via Open Access.

Articles urgently needed by TUHH researchers can be obtained via a special service of the TU library via document delivery.
