In cooperation with the TUHH computer centre, we offer WLAN advice in the library at the beginning of the semester. Niklas Krüger (student, User Service Center) will be available at the library’s information desk at the times listed below. He will be glad to answer your questions regarding WLAN, eduroam, VPN and provide practical support.
You can borrow booksat the circulation desk(journals may not be borrowed!), butalsoinself-serviceat theyellow selfcheck-system. Check out and check in of media on themachine are possiblethroughout theopening hours to 9pmandalsoat weekends, includingSundays and public holidays till 8pm!
Simply put on books(also in batch), barcode of the library card has to be read, authenticatewith a password– tap on button“borrow” andcloseaccount– done! On the selfcheck- systems (nearelevator) both check out and check in ofmediaare possible. Check in also workswithout library card and authentication.
Ifno otherclient has reserved the media, you can extend theloan periodsup to three timesin yourlibrary accountonline. Attention: please note loan period! When it is exceeded, fees will arise.
The first time you visite our library you will surely notice this shelf in the entrance area. Our shelf for first-semester offers a selection of books, especially for those who start studying – from the textbook to the collection of formulas. Further copies of these books can be found in the textbook collection.
And also: if these books from the shelf for first-semester are available electronically, the QR-code on the reference panels contains the corresponding link. So: please access to the intranet and scan the QR-code.

Inthe textbook collection there are often a large numberof circulating librarycopies of one title. If you will not find any loan copies, there are otheroptions: Sometimesan electroniceditionis available, in every case there is for every textbooktitleat least onearchivecopy(reference copy). It may notbe borrowed, and therefore it is available for everybody during theopening hours.
